When it comes to CPU heatsinks it's sometimes hard to find a good balance between cooling performance and fan noise.
Today we take a look at the Thermaltake Silent Boost RX K8 that boasts that it can achieve both of these things.
Using a unique reversed fan, it reduces the noise from air-rebounding and creates a better air flow for heat dissipation.
The Silent Boost RX K8 heat sink comes with all the mounting hardware and a simple to follow instruction sheet. The heat sink has 46 copper fins which are attached to a solid copper base. The unit can be used with AMD socket 939/754 Opteron, Athlon (64 and 64FX) and Sempron processors.
The heatsink puts out 38.7 CFM of air at 2200 RPM and the fan noise is rated at 18 dBA. The Silent Boost RX K8 can also accommodate both 80mm and 92mm fans, if the user would prefer to use a third party fan.
