With VCR's and VHS tapes soon to be phased out completely by DVD players, many consumers want to digitize their old VHS tapes to the new format. There are various ways to accomplish this, but none are as easy as using Samsungs VR-325 DVD Recorder/VCR.
The VR-325 is a combo DVD recorder and VCR built together. Since both VCR and DVD recorder are in the same unit, it makes digitizing VHS content a snap.
The VR-325 is a sleek looking unit. All major controls are easily accessible on the front panel. The unit has a HDMI output that combines all-digital video and audio connections into a single cable to an HDTV.
The VR-325 can record to DVD-R/RW, DVD-RAM, and VHS tape. Copy protected discs or tapes can not be copied however. You can record up to 16 hours of video on the lower quality setting for a DVD-RAM and 8 hours on a DVD-R/RW. Other recording modes include:
XP mode- High Quality -1 Hour
SP mode- Standard Quality -2 hours
LP mode- Low Quality -4 hours
EP mode- Lower Quality-8 hours
The VR-325 can also play VCD's, Audio CDs, jpg, and MP3's.
